An expense tracker built for India. In rupees, from payday to payday.
Rupya is an expense tracker made in India, for the way money moves here. Amounts are in rupees with lakh commas, like ₹4,00,000. Your month can start on salary day, and Swiggy, Zomato, Netflix, Uber and more come ready as subcategories. It runs on the web today, with Android and iPhone apps coming soon, and it's free during early access.

What makes it fit India?
- Rupees first. Indian rupees are the default, grouped the Indian way: ₹1,23,456.00, not ₹123,456.00. Another currency is a setting away.
- Every kind of account. Bank, cash, card, wallet, savings, investment and loan accounts, each with its own running balance. Moving money between them is a transfer, so it never counts as spending.
- Months that start on payday. Paid on the 7th or the 25th? Your month can start there, and totals, exports and summary emails follow it. More on salary-day budgets.
- The apps you pay most often. New accounts start with subcategories for Swiggy, Zomato, Netflix, Uber, Blinkit, Flipkart and more, each drawn as a small tile in its own colour.
Which brands are built in?
A new Rupya account starts with these as subcategories, under the category they belong to. Picking one is always optional, and an entry on Netflix still adds up into Subscriptions in your charts.

Already have an account? Add any of them in Categories, from the Brands section of the icon picker. Anything else, like your gym or the milkman, can be a subcategory of your own with an emoji.
Brand names and logos belong to their owners. Rupya isn't affiliated with them.
Where is my data kept?
You choose. In the Android and iPhone apps, coming soon, you can keep everything on your phone with no account, where Rupya's servers never see it. Or use a Rupya account to have the same entries on the web and on every phone you sign in on.
A Rupya account is stored with Supabase in Tokyo, Japan, and the Rupya API runs in Singapore, so account data is stored and processed outside India. It travels over encrypted connections, but it isn't end-to-end encrypted. The privacy policy has the full list.
Either way, Rupya never asks for bank passwords, card numbers or UPI PINs, shows no ads and doesn't sell your data.
Can I bring my history from another app?
If you've been using Money Manager by Realbyte, yes. Import its Excel export on the web, with a preview first, today's balances, subcategories kept and undo. Here's how the move works. Starting fresh instead? Add each account with what it holds today, and go from there.
What does it cost?
Nothing during early access. Everything in Rupya is free, with no ads, and you don't need a credit card to start. If paid plans ever come, you'll hear well in advance, and you won't pay for anything unless you choose to.
